Cheap Steam Games: 4 Great Single-Player Games for a Couple of Dollars

· 3 min read

Great single-player games regularly cost more than you want to spend on something you might not finish. Here are four excellent PC games you can play for a couple of dollars each on a shared Steam account — what they are, who they are for and what PC you need.

All four are single-player, work in Steam offline mode and have a Polish and English interface.

1. Graveyard Keeper 2 — the darkly funny management sim

Genre: simulation, RPG · Released: September 2026 · Developer: Lazy Bear Games

The sequel to the cult medieval cemetery sim. This time you are the Grand Inquisitor in a kingdom sliding into a zombie apocalypse: run your graveyard, rebuild the town, automate production and lead an undead army — all with a very flexible attitude to ethics.

Perfect for: fans of Stardew Valley-style loops who prefer black humour to cute farming. PC: Windows 10 x64, 4 GB of free space.

2. Ori and the Will of the Wisps — the beautiful platformer

Genre: action platformer, Metroidvania · Released: March 2020 · Developer: Moon Studios

One of the best-looking 2D games ever made. A hand-painted world, tight platforming, huge boss fights and an orchestral soundtrack that will stay with you. You do not need to have played Ori and the Blind Forest first.

Perfect for: anyone who wants a moving story and precise, satisfying controls. PC: Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, GTX 950 / R7 370 or better, 20 GB of free space.

3. 9 Kings — the "one more run" roguelike

Genre: roguelike, strategy, kingdom builder · Released: May 2025 (Early Access) · Developer: Sad Socket

Build a kingdom out of cards, survive yearly attacks from rival kings and steal their decks when you win. Runs are short, combos get absurd and it is very easy to lose an evening to "just one more year".

Perfect for: fans of Balatro, Slay the Spire and short, replayable strategy sessions. Runs on almost anything. PC: Windows 10 64-bit, 4 GB RAM, 500 MB of free space.

4. Romestead — survival in the ruins of Rome

Genre: action, survival, RPG · Released: May 2026 (Early Access) · Developer: Beartwigs

Rome has fallen and the dead walk at night. Gather resources, carry logs and boulders by hand, build a settlement with production lines and wake the Roman gods for their blessings — in charming pixel art.

Perfect for: fans of Valheim or Core Keeper who like base building with real combat. PC: Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB RAM, 2 GB of free space.

Why are these games so cheap here?

Because you are not buying the game for your own account — you buy access to a shared Steam account that already owns it. You pay once, there is no subscription, and you play offline on your PC. Before buying, it is worth reading whether a shared Steam account is safe.
